Steph Curry inspires Warriors to fifth straight win
Through five games of the 2015-2016 season, the Golden State Warriors point guard is playing at a level that’s nearly never been matched, and he’s the leading candidate to win the award in the early part of the season. LaMarcus Aldridge had 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Spurs, who committed 21 turnovers and had their three-game win streak snapped (see full recap).

Although he obviously won’t come close to maintaining those outrageous numbers, Curry does look like a good bet to take home MVP honors for a second straight year. Wednesday night, finally, they were challenged. The Nuggets had a great showing against the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Lakers aren’t the same as they used to be, and they don’t have anyone on their team that can shoot like Stephen Curry.
When Curry checked back into the game at the start of the second, he found breathing room to play his game.
In terms of the offense, Klay Thompson is most likely the Warriors’ secondary scorer behind Curry, but is Thompson truly the Warriors’ x-factor?
After their loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers trolled the Memphis Grizzlies on Twitter by using the hashtag “didntloseby50”, a jab Memphis’ recent 50-point loss to the Warriors. The Warriors are back in action on Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies.
If they’re truly better than they were previous year, it’s a scary notion for teams in the Western Conference.
The reigning league MVP was phenomenal in the final quarter, living up to his moniker “babyface assassin”.
“That’s the advantage we know we have”, Walton said of Barnes, who finished with 17 points. DeAndre Jordan tops in rebounds with 13.5 and in blocks with 4.5 while Christ Paul contributes 8.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
Both Paul and Curry dealt with early foul trouble, with Curry going to the bench with two fouls less than three minutes into the game and Paul being forced to sit early in the third quarter with his fourth. Andrew Bogut is questionable with a concussion.

Even though the Pelicans have simplified their defense in an attempt to make things easier, they gave up 39 and 43 points in the first quarters of two of their last few games because they allegedly allowed open jumpers and penetration. I also don’t think there is anything wrong with the Warriors creating their own fuel for another championship run by interpreting that as Doc calling them lucky.
