The Pelicans played without projected starters Omer Asik, Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans. Behind that offensive output, the Warriors cruised to victory, winning 111-95.

Pelicans: The Pelicans played the Warriors in a season opener for the second time. If a team, player, or coach isn’t able to laugh during the lows, they’re going to have a hard time lasting until the season’s end. If he can figure that style to fit New Orleans best player Anthony Davis, it would help rack up more points for Davis who averaged at least 20 points and ten rebounds in each of the last two seasons.
