Stephen Colbert Issues A Million Dollar Challenge To Donald Trump After The
Welcome to The Late Show -or perhaps you’re more familiar with its alternate title, The ‘What’s Amusing Stephen About Donald Trump Today?’ Show. Colbert, who was dressed in pajamas as he snuggled with a teddy bear, ended the segment plugging Franzen’s “Purity” by pulling it out of an overnight shipping box.

During a speech at New Hampshire’s town hall on Monday, Trump had told his audience that his whole life hadn’t been easy, starting off in Brooklyn and receiving a “small” loan from his father.
“Clearly, this is an inspiring tale of a young man made good”, Colbert said.
“It’s a classic story of riches to richer”, Colbert added during his show.
Holding an oversized check for $1 million on his late night desk, the former Comedy Central personality asked Trump for his autograph so the funds could go to Harlem Children’s Zone, a non-profit working with poverty-stricken children and families. Trump’s reply was, well, very Trump-y as he said that he didn’t have it easy, what with only a million dollar loan from his father.
“Which is why I’m happy to announce that I’ve taken the liberty of writing a one-million dollar check from Donald Trump to the charity of my choice – the Harlem Children’s Zone”.

The memo line of the check reads: “No big deal”. The organization did not immediately have a comment.
