Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors send message to National Basketball Association championship
Ten games into the new National Basketball Association season and it looks like defending champions, Golden State Warriors, have moved up a notch. He hit consecutive triples in the third quarter, one from 3 feet behind the arc for a 97-76 lead.

Warriors: Golden State matched the 9-0 start by the 1960-61 Philadelphia Warriors.Andrew Bogut, who returned Monday night after missing six games with a concussion, played 15 minutes and finished with three points and seven rebounds. The Warriors committed a season-high 23 turnovers. Assistant coach Luke Walton has guided the team in Kerr’s absence.
Wiggins continued his recent hot streak with 19 points and is now averaging 27.6 points in his last three games. Stephen Curry can be a point guard if need be, but because of Curry trying to make a statement by leading the league in scoring, Green has assumed the role of running the Warriors offense.
All five Warriors starters finished in double figures. So did forward Jeff Green, who missed the only two shots he took.
The Warriors went 18 of 38 from 3-point range while Minnesota was just 3 of 9.
The Warriors, picking up where they left off after last spring’s championship run, improved to 10-0 Thursday for the first time in franchise history with a 129-116 road win against the Timberwolves.
The Warriors shot 48 percent from the floor, going 36-for-75.
Kevin Martin’s three-pointer to open the final period made it 14 straight points.
Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 22 points, including five 3-pointers, and nine assists.
Even when the Warriors aren’t play well, they’re just too good to be beaten by mediocre teams.
“Young teams can get sky high when you win”, Mitchell said, “but when you lose it’s like a free fall”.
Certainly, the Grizzlies are not having that conversation. But at least there was no questioning their effort, as there was in the first game against Golden State and in several other lopsided losses. “We knew Andre knows how to play, he can carry out a defensive game plan to the best that you can do against Steph Curry”. “But playing hard is not enough”. They were able to stop the leak with Curry resting on the bench.
I love what Kenny Smith said about him after the game on TNT: “He’s like Michael Jordan without the dunks”.
When Miami traded Mario Chalmers earlier this week, Heat President Pat Riley decided it was time for a chat with reserve guard Tyler Johnson. However, Memphis coach Dave Joerger said the deal was not finalized by the league office as of Wednesday, leaving Chalmers and Ennis unavailable for the game against Golden State. “We haven’t seen great shooters that are ball handlers”, Rivers said.
The Warriors are winning no matter how much Curry shoots and they’re 10-0.
