Stephen Curry: Stephen Curry: My game won’t change w/ Durant
Training camp is upon us, and the Warriors have thus far brought in four solid candidates to compete for the final roster spot: Cameron Jones, Elliot Williams, JaVale McGee, and Phil Pressey.

Durant’s move to the already star-studded Warriors has painted his team in a somewhat negative light with the Cavs as the heroes, something that amuses reigning MVP Curry. With the Warriors now having two MVPs in their starting lineup, the incumbent isn’t planning on adjusting his game to accommodate Durant, echoing Klay Thompson’s stance.
In an interview with ESPN, Curry said that his game won’t change just because Durant joined the team.
“It’s going to be a different vibe because it’s a different team and different dynamics with different players with KD joining us. There will be some adjustments when it comes to the in-game flow and how we work together, but for us to be who we’re supposed to be, we all have to kind of elevate ourselves”.
Curry raises a good point that people seem to be overlooking.
As an assistant coach with the Dubs, Walton oversaw the growth of one of the most successful teams in the history of the league alongside Steve Kerr.
Luke Walton is embarking on his first season as a certified head coach with the L.A. Lakers after returning to the franchise where he played for nine seasons from the Golden State Warriors this summer.
The Warriors had the 3-1 series lead over LeBron James and the Cavaliers but lost the last three games of the best-of-seven series. Expect that to stay the same for the most part.
The Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr managed to achieve such success during the 2014-15 National Basketball Association season with the help of his coaching staffs and his roster.
He isn’t using it as an excuse, but it’s finally out there.

Another question that was raised is about former Golden State Warriors associate coach Luke Walton possibly convincing Curry that he would be better off with Los Angeles Lakers. He will still play the same way and while small adjusts will be made to help Durant fit in, for the most part, Curry will be the same incredible player as he has been the past few years.
