Curry was nothing short of spectacular yet again as he lit up the scoreboard, something we have become so accustomed to this season.

DALLAS – Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 31 points Wednesday night to lead Dallas to a 118-108 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in DeAndre Jordan’s first visit since backing out on an agreement to sign with the Mavericks in free agency. While teams like the Thunder improved with the return of Kevin Durant, who was injured most of last year with a foot injury, and the Spurs who improved in the offseason by signing All-Star Lamarcus Aldridge, the Warriors were the NBA’s best offensive and defensive team last year.
The Warriors were 10-for-20 from deep compared to Minnesota’s 1-for-4 from downtown. Fouled out: None. Rebounds: Golden State 38 (Dr.Green 8), Minnesota 57 (Towns 11).
Golden State continued its hot shooting in the second quarter, making 15-of-22 shots (68.2 percent) from the floor and scoring 36 points.
“Most assistant coaches tend to change a little bit [when they get a head position], and not for the good”, said Andre Iguodala, “He’s done a really good job of not creating an ego from the situation he’s been put in and he stays the same”. With his 44 made 3s through nine games, Curry is now on pace for 400 made 3-pointers this season.
Neither team could break away in the fourth quarter until the Magic scored seven straight points to take a 99-94 lead with 2:17 left, the largest lead of the second half for either team (see full recap). The Warriors have Stephen Curry to carry them through rough patches, as he did on Wednesday after catching fire.
Curry is on-pace for a career year.
The Wolves were hanging in there shooting over 52 percent, even though the Warriors were at an astonishing 60 percent from the field and 41 percent from beyond the arc.
Curry meanwhile had five rebounds, five assists and five steals in addition to his 28-point haul. The reigning MVP still managed to gather himself in the air and fire a one-handed, shot-put style 3-pointer that splashed through.
Curry had been held to under 30 points in three consecutive games heading into Thursday’s contest after averaging 35.5 points in his first six games. Andrew Wiggins led the way for the Timberwolves with 19 points and first round pick Karl-Anthony Towns had another double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. LaVine added 13 points but it was the Wolves bench that did most of the damage.
All five Warriors starters finished in double figures.

The Warriors are undefeated at 9-0, and winning by an average of 18 points. Ricky Rubio missed his second straight game with a strained left hamstring. Minnesota falls to 0-4 at home, which is its worst start since 1994 when they lost 10 straight.
