Stephen King’s ‘11.22.63’ TV adaption gets United States premiere date

Hulu will debut “11.22.63”, based on the time-travel novel by Stephen King about the JFK assassination, on Presidents Day, February 15, 2016. The alternate reality, limited series, explores what would have happened, had someone tried to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. In the show, Franco’s rescue attempt gets pushback from his burgeoning love life, Lee Harvey Oswald (go figure), and even the universe, which prefers the past as is (or was, or whatever). The past itself doesn’t want to be changed as Jake tries to alter history forever.

Also signed on to the project are actors Josh Duhamel (the Transformers movie franchise), Chris Cooper (American Beauty) and Sarah Gadon (The wonderful Spider-Man 2).

According to Variety, the first two episodes of the Hulu miniseries version of the Stephen King novel 11/22/63 were executive produced by Kevin Macdonald of The Last King of Scotland fame, with the major assistance of King, Bryan Burk, J.J. Abrams, and Bridget Carpenter. Check out the new images from Hulu’s highly anticipated new series below!

Hulu had previously styled the name of the series as “11/22/63”, the same as King’s book, but now refers to it as “11.22.63”.
