Sterling K. Brown wins Emmy, shouts out to St. Louis

Brown so deservedly took home the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series Emmy for ‘The People Vs. O.J. Simpson.’ His blistering and heartbreaking portrayal of prosecutor Christopher Darden managed to topple two of his co-stars from the awesome cast in the process!

Other nominees for this year’s Emmy included John Travolta, David Schwimmer, Bokeem Woodbine, Jesse Plemons, and Hugh Laurie.

“A lot of you didn’t know who I was but you checked the box anyway”, Brown joked in the beginning of his speech, later dedicating his award to his late father.

“As time goes on, you start to see what happens, without giving it away, they are connected in ways just beyond their birthday”, says star Sterling K. Brown. And that makes me very very happy.

“For me, it was a hugely negative life experience”. He played Christopher Darden in FX’s critically acclaimed series. Mama, I can hear you. “And I don’t want to feel the way I felt in 1995”.

Now Brown is a “big shot Hollywood actor, Emmy-award winning actor”, Darden said he would take Brown’s call, as long as it’s “during the daylight hours”. “That part I’m not happy about”, he said.
