Steve Harvey Fails Hard At Miss Universe, Announces Wrong Winner
Moments later, after she received the crown, Harvey said he made a mistake and she was the first runner-up behind Miss Philippines, who won the title.

A mortified Harvey, the host of “Family Feud” and a standup comedian by trade, took the fall for wrongly reading the cue card that identified Miss Colombia as first runner up, not victor.
But he was wrong; the actual Miss Universe victor was Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurztbach.
The most memorable and weird ending in Miss Universe pageant history started with four words from host Steve Harvey: “I have to apologize”.
Harvey mistakenly announced the wrong victor in front of millions of viewers.
But the Harvey error had a presidential candidate talking about a pageant on national TV, and maybe that’s a win for the Miss Universe organization.
The 2015 Miss Universe competition was held inside the Planet Hollywood hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip begins and began with an elaborate parade of costumes with each contestant representing their home countries.
Everyone was in the state of shock at the event including Wurtzbach after receiving the crown at an annual global beauty pageant.
Anyway, the Miss Universe pageant doesn’t usually have ties to the National Football League, but it did on Sunday because Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith was a judge.
Taking it in her stride, Gutierrez said she is still happy with the results of the pageant.
Even before Sunday night’s oops moment, the pageant was involved in another controversy when a backlash against Trump led Univision to pull out of the broadcast and the businessman to sell it in September. “I think he was a great host and I think that mistakes happen”.
The other owner was Comcast Corp’s NBCUniversal.
Despite the wild ending, Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines remained congenial backstage.

Had Arevalo been the victor, Colombia would have won the contest two years in a row.
