Harvey named Gutierrez as Miss Universe, but after she was given the sash and crown he admitted that he goofed and Miss Philippines was actually the victor.
“To Ariadna, you are an fantastic woman and we are now bonded together forever by a unique experience”, she posted.
“I know how much pride many countries, fans and most importantly, the contestants take in preparing for this night”.
“I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back”. “Please let’s all stop now”, she wrote.
A source close to production told ET that 58-year-old Harvey will likely be returning to Miss Universe on a multi-year deal.
Steve Harvey’s now infamous blunder during the 2015 Miss Universe pageant has made waves and captured headlines for a number of reasons.
We all saw how comedian Steve Harvey messed up with the winners’ name at the Miss Universe pageant this year!
The video, which has been viewed over a twenty-three million times on Youtube, has been doing rounds on social media.
“No crown in sight as Miss Philippines strolled undercover”.
The “Family Feud” host tweeted a photo of himself on Christmas morning with the caption “merry Easter”. “I was first runner-up, and there is something to be said about losing gracefully”. The post was even more hilarious considering there really are memes floating around with Steve’s face on it that say “Merry Easter”, among many other memes and gifs clowning his epic mix-up.
Former Miss Universe Owner Donald Trump has since tweeted, “Very sad what happened last night at Miss Universe”.
“OK folks, I have to apologize”.
