Steve Smith announces he will retire after 2015-16 season
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith has announced that the 2015-16 season will be his last in the NFL. “If it’s the end, I feel like it’s the best place for it to end”. Steve Smith was just as liable to throw down with a teammate as he was an opponent, especially if it meant getting the point across that he was one of the best in the game.

The 36-year-old led the Ravens in receptions (79) and receiving yards (1,065) during his first season with the team in 2014. Smith plans to retire at the end of the season, regardless of where the Ravens finish this season.
He came into the league as a third-rounder from Utah, and made an immediate impact for the 2001 Panthers, returning the opening kickoff of the season for a touchdown and earning Pro Bowl honors as a return man.
Smith owns Carolina career records for receptions (836), yards (12,197), and receiving touchdowns (67). Last season, he joined the Ravens and immediately became their top receiver.
Smith’s Ravens are 14/1 to win Super Bowl 50 at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.
“They don’t have to worry about me anymore”, Smith said of the Saints after that game in 2014. “I’m going to go home, and be Dad”.
