Frank Lampard admits he has regrets over his England career and his inability to form an effective midfield partnership with Steven Gerrard.

In the last week Arena rejected the idea of any of his star players going out on loan during the MLS close season but he went further when asked about suggestions the former England worldwide could return to his old club.
“I spoke with Stevie; one phone call and a few messages and I told him “When you are here of course you can come whenever you want, you can train with us if you think it is good for you”. It’s a long season, and I only came here for the last four months.
In his first season in the United States, Gerrard experienced another title disappointment as Galaxy, who won the MLS crown last season, were knocked out of the playoffs by Seattle Sounders last month.
Gerrard will fly back to Liverpool this week to spend the MLS off-season at home in addition to his duties as a pundit for BT Sport’s Champions League coverage and prepare for the 2016 pre-season which will begin in January.
