Steven Gerrard: My message to new Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp
German football coach Jürgen Klopp flew into Liverpool on Thursday to put pen to paper on a contract with the Premier League club, describing the move as “like a dream”.

The 48-year-old replaced Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked last week following a disappointing start to the season.
Klopp brings an abundance of excitement to the organization from supporters as one of the biggest names in managers.
“Not one of these great managers”, said in his first press conference “my target is I want to be a legend at the end of my time here”.
“Firstly, I would like to offer thanks to the ownership of Liverpool Football Club for showing faith in me and my staff and presenting us with this wonderful opportunity”. It’s nothing. If two smart, intelligent, clever guys sit together on a table and you both want the same, where can be the problem?
“I’m not here today to speak too much about football and I didn’t meet my team until now”.
“It is a real important thing that the players feel the difference from now on”.
A highly-anticipated introduction did not disappoint as Klopp vowed to turn “the doubters to believers”, said he would have “the first and last word” on transfers and even predicted he would deliver a Premier League title within four years.
“I’m here because I believe the potential of the team. I’m a normal manager and I want to work with the players on the pitch”, he said. I had a great job to manage Dortmund for seven years and it was the best for us to leave. “But it’s not so important what people think when you come in”.
Klopp called for patience, pleading: “Please give us time”. In the meantime let me know what you think of the new man on Twitter, below the line or by email. “You don’t take history in your backpack and carry it with you for 25 years”.

“He possesses all the qualities we are looking for in a manager – he is a strong, inspirational leader, who has a clear philosophy of high-energy, attacking football”.
