The team ended the release by saying that they will not officially update Stewart’s condition until Thursday when they expect more information to be known.
Tony was at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday evening, January 30, and he was interviewed on live television from the event.
Stewart, who is the only driver in history to win a title in both IndyCar and NASCAR, was set to begin his NASCAR season on February 21 in the Daytona 500. Stewart was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing, but faces a civil suit from the family of Kevin Ward Jr.
The co-owner of SHR and driver of the No. 14 auto is retiring from NASCAR after this season. He’s not competed in anything out of a Sprint Cup race since Ward’s death in 2014. He is 0-17 at the crown jewel of NASCAR.

The 44-year-old Stewart has already announced the 2016 season will be his last full season in the Sprint Cup circuit. That bugged me and I had nothing to do with it. Smoke will go out on top!
