BAKERSFIELD REPRESENT: Kevin Harvick had a spectacular run in the Southwest previous year, winning at Las Vegas and Phoenix before finishing second at Fontana.
Jones, 19, leads the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings. After Vegas, teams will be doing race action across the Phoenix International Raceway and Auto Club Speedway in California. “I anticipate seeing a lot of the same conditions in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race this weekend”. Gaughan won the 2003 NCWTS race at his home track.
10 key facts to know about Sunday’s race: Seven different drivers have won at Las Vegas over the past seven races. I wish they could weigh less. It ages, it slips and slides, so it’s another fun place and for me its home. Las Vegas is smooth and fast. If so, buckle up, because NASCAR frenzy has officially moved into Las Vegas.
