– Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate Mike Pence is making campaign stops in Montgomery and Bucks counties.
Pence has made one other stop in Iowa since becoming the republican vice presidential nominee.
An NBC-Wall Street Journal-Marist Poll released this month put the Democratic ticket of Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine 9 points ahead of Trump-Pence in North Carolina. He said the ability for corporate and foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation to donate between now and the election means they can “make down payments on” favors to be paid later by a potential Clinton White House.
Pence is joining Donald Trump in calling for Clinton to shut down the Clinton Foundation now. “He has a heart for every American and he also, he’s a truth-teller”.
“At the end of four years, I guarantee you that I will get 95 percent of African-American vote, I promise you, because I will produce for the inner city and I will produce for the African-Americans”, Trump said at a campaign rally in Dimondale, Mich. “That is an enduring American principle”, Pence said, to applause.
The Clinton campaign in Iowa organized a conference call several hours before Pence’s appearance.
