Miocic, whose title in in May set off a run of championships in a city that didnt celebrate one for 52 years, was in big trouble after Overeem caught him on the jaw with a short left. After the takedown, Overeem pulled guard, but Miocic landed a pair of right-handed hammer fists before throwing a left-right combination to the challenger’s face.

Jones commented on a possible fight with Miocic on social media, admitting the heavyweight title holder would be “the challenge of a lifetime”.

Also, we’ll finally witness the long-awaited MMA debut of former WWE champion CM Punk, as he takes on the hungry, young Mickey Gall. The ref didn’t see it, the ref didn’t jump in, so the fight continued. I want to be a heavyweight champion and a light-heavyweight champion.

“After I beat Travis Browne, I want to sit very close to the cage to watch my next opponent”.

Phillip Brooks (CM Punk) spent the last 2 years training in mma with numerous sport’s most recognized fighters.

Werdum (20-6-1, including 8-3 UFC) has six wins by knockout and 10 by submission. For a minute they scrambled for position when Gall took Punk’s back.

In the co-main event, heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne put on an entertaining affair to cap the undercard.

And to top it off, Werdum then front kicked Browne’s head coach Edmond Tarverdyan after the decision was rendered. Andrade overpowered the Scottish superstar before locking in a guillotine choke to finish her second-straight fight at strawweight after her move down from 135 pounds. Fast forward 41 years and fight hungry fans from all over flooded in. I don’t know what happens from here on out.

Punk, though, intends to fight on and if he does, then it should be in the amateur ranks. Fortunately, I was training really, really hard for this fight because I didn’t have a moment to stop.

And yet despite his loss, Punk said afterwards he was thrilled to receive the opportunity to compete. “Doesn’t matter how many time you get knocked down, get back up”.
