Stopping Trump Won’t Be So Easy. Here’s Why, In One Chart
The next delegate pick-up opportunity is Saturday at the Hawaii, Alaska and Washington state caucuses – a format that has been favorable to Sanders.

It’s up to leaders like her and Garcetti, she added, to help change the conversation.
Through the first half of the 2016 presidential cycle, Republicans have seen record turnout, while Democrats have experienced a startling drop-off. The vast majority of California’s GOP delegates June 7 will be allocated by congressional district, with the victor of each of the state’s 53 districts receiving three delegates. Trump and Clinton won their respective parties’ primaries in Arizona on Tuesday and maintained steep advantages in the presidential nominations race, despite victories by rivals in other states. His rallies this past week drew more than 17,000 people in Seattle, including those standing in line or in an overflow room, and 13,000 in San Diego. I try to resist the conventional wisdom that he’d be a pushover for Hillary in the general election but his numbers with women are a hard argument to counter.
But Clinton still leads Sanders in the overall count, 1,690 to 946.
Graham joked about his party’s failure to support Kasich on MSNBC Thursday, citing another figure suggesting Kasich could lead Clinton. It takes 2,383 delegates to win the nomination. While it’s true that Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders both have some deeply loyal supporters, they also both benefit from people who make up their minds later. Among registered Republicans, the view is rosier, 66 percent have a favorable impression, but that’s still down from 73 percent favorable in January. That’s not a great sign for her, but it’s better than Trump’s score.
Sanders also expects to compete heavily in upcoming races in OR and California, where the union’s membership is also based.
“Proposing that doesn’t make you sound tough, it makes you sound like you’re in over your head”, she said.
“It’s even possible that the Wisconsin primary is going to be the knock-out blow for somebody”, Lee said.
“Turning our back on our alliances, or turning our alliance into a protection racket would reverse decades of bipartisan American leadership and send a risky signal to friend and foe alike”, she said, referencing a call by Trump to lessen USA involvement in North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.
“Nobody respects women more than I do”, he said.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a wide lead over her Democratic competitor, Vermont Sen. Clinton, it should be noted, won both states convincingly over Obama in 2008.
The Public Policy Institute of California poll showed support for Trump at 38 percent among likely Republican voters, followed by Ted Cruz at 19 percent and John Kasich at 12 percent.
The poll also does not use weighting to correct for older voters’ being more likely to respond to surveys.
Sanders senior adviser Tad Devine said a loss for Clinton in NY “would be an enormous setback”. Clinton, in turn, has accused him of inciting violence and likened his rise in the polls to “dark chapters” of history like the Holocaust. As one of two major party nominees, of course he’d have a chance to be elected, especially against a flawed rival who has had difficulty winning primary support from key Democratic groups, especially younger voters.
Walker, whose run for president ended in September after a 90-day campaign, has yet to endorse anyone in the race.

None of us saw his emergence as a political force, and he has demonstrated political skill against an array of experienced Republicans.
