Stormy Daniels played coy Tuesday night as comedian Jimmy Kimmel pressed the adult film star on whether or not she had an affair with Donald Trump. “Because this is a whole different pay scale”, she said.

Daniels’ allegation, first made in 2011 and then again a month before the election, went mostly unnoticed until the Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that Mr Cohen brokered a $130,000 (€104,000) payment to Daniels to keep her from publicly discussing it.

It will be her second big TV interview on the network – she’s sitting down for an interview Tuesday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” after her alleged paramour’s address to Congress. What Kimmel got instead was a long conversation filled with shrugs and roundabout non-answers. While Daniels denied having ever shoplifted, she did admit to having sex with a married man, and more specifically having sex with a married man at a golf tournament, although she never named Trump. However, Kimmel is a journalist first, and journalists don’t take things at face value.
Kimmel then pointed out that Daniels’ signature on the statement does not match the signature on her original statement, or her signature on head shots she has signed over the years for fans. Did I? That doesn’t look like my signature”, continuing on to note how “I do not know where that came from.
Kimmel point-blank asked Daniels if she had signed the Tuesday letter, and her reply was non-committal.
So that’s one mystery solved.
Kimmel followed up, asking Daniels where the letter came from. “You’re so smart, Jimmy”, she says, confirming that Jimmy’s suggestions are correct. “Enough of this. Show me what he did to you with these”, Kimmel says, as Kimmel and Clifford brandish boy and girl puppets, respectively.

While the interview certainly had its awkward and, certainly, sexist moments, Stormy Daniels’ refusal that she signed the denial spoke volumes. “I also work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and I’m a man, according to the Internet today”.
In the 2011 interview, Daniels is quoted as saying that she and Trump had sex and that she could “definitely” describe his anatomy if her account were ever challenged.
