Hollywood has only had Rogue Nation and Straight Outta Compton to brag about in this late stage of summer. They don’t know yet who will play Snoop and Ice Cube, but we are told it will not be any of the same actors from Straight Outta Compton.

The move comes after a huge weekend for Straight Outta Compton, which earned $60 million at the box office – the best-ever August opening for an R-rated movie.

The remaining roles will not be filled by the Compton cast, Daz reportedly said.

Dogg Pound member Daz reportedly told the website the new movie will pick up where the N.W.A. film ended, focusing on the emergence of Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur and other rappers affiliated with Death Row Records, which was created by Dr. Dre and Suge Knight in the early 1990s.

The film is tentatively entitled “Dogg Pound 4 Life“, TMZ.com reports.

Suge Knight for instance, the Death Row producer once accused of killing Tupac and Biggie Smalls, is also thought to feature, owing to his inclusion in Straight Outta Compton.

Interestingly, it has also been revealed that Dr. Dre’s eldest son – Curtis Young – will feature in the sequel, while there have been no confirmations on who will play Ice Cube or Snoop Dogg.
