These titles leave us wondering what odd occurrences will happen next, although we can probably expect to see how Will is coping now that he has returned from the Upside Down.
Good try, Matt, but we are so ready for Season 2, not even the Demogorgon can put us off.
“I will say the opening scene [of the premiere] does not take place in Hawkins”, Matt Duffer told EW.
The Duffer Brothers have been confirmed to return to write and direct Season 2, although the returning cast has yet to be announced. As Ross Duffer explained, “I don’t think we ever thought anthology. I think if we extend it too much, it will have a very different feel”. “But for us, there’s still more story here, there’s still things that are unresolved”.
In the mean time, we’re just hoping that one of these titles means that Eleven will be coming back. In addition, the Duffers revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming episodes will introduce four new characters and venture outside of Hawkins to new locations. “There’s a bigger mythology, and there’s a lot of dangling threads in the end”. But fans still have a lot of open questions about where the plot will go. What else could be out there? In season one, Stranger Things was only able to really peek into this dimension, so going forward they want to go further with the story and what other mysteries the Upside Down contains.
