‘Stranger Things’ renewed for second season

We’ve finally been renewed for Season 2! But given how gaga fans are for that retro font, I’m guessing most of you won’t mind.

Sadly, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) may not return to Season 2. Netflix has been known to renew just about everything, sometimes even before the season one premiere, and Stranger Things is believed to be one of the most-watched Netflix original series of all time. Because he is the sweetest little gentleman in the world, he also thanked his fans for their support. “I think if it gets any longer, it gets unwieldy for us”. And the inter-dimensional rift – at least how we left it – is still very much open.

That means we can expect to see the return of Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Joyce (Winona Ryder), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and others. “We leave that up in the air”. Don’t get too excited, though: The trailer only reveals episode titles.

There will be four new characters and viewers will be heading back to the Upside Down.

The series, which in its first season told the story of a missing boy, a powerful girl and some creepy government scientists (and a lot more) in a small town in 1982, has been one of the most talked-about series of the year.

“We kinda just peeled back the curtain and revealed a tiny bit of the Upside Down”, Matt Duffer said. “We want it to feel a little bit different, maybe a little bit darker, but still have the sense of fun”. Thankfully, we know that Season 2 of Stranger Things is the real deal.

“[There are] a lot of questions there in terms of, if the Monster is dead, was it a singular monster?” What else could be out there? “It’s open-ended in a way that if people wanted it, and Netflix wanted it, we could explore it and continue the storyline”.
