Outside of Game of Thrones, there may not be a more buzzworthy show with audiences than this show from The Duffer Brothers. “It’s very much an homage to ’80s movies, whether it’s classic Stephen King or even Spielberg”.

And now those sounds can penetrate your eardrums to your heart’s desire with the release of the Stranger Things

While the popularity among viewers and critics has landed the eight episode series impressive ratings, it still isn’t Netflix’s most popular original series. This truly was one of the best shows of the year and the feedback from viewers has been overwhelming.

“I think a great analogy is actually “Stranger Things, ‘ and we’re seeing it on Netflix right now”, Dan Lin told Collider at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour”.

Netflix is known for keeping its release ratings a private affair, meaning it is hard to get an exact read on the numbers, but sights like SymphonyAM have striven to give as accurate data as they can on ratings for shows on Netflix.

Stein had this to say about the score: “We discussed having a classic tone and feel to the music for the show – but being reserved enough that it wasn’t ’80s cheese – while offering a refreshing quality so that felt modern”.
