Okay, maybe I should slow down a bit. Or maybe I’m insane and everything will turn out fine. Not only do we get a Season 2, but we get one more glorious hour too! Recently, Entertainment Weekly spoke with creators Matt and Ross Duffer about season two of the Netflix series. No idea, ask them!

In an interview, Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen, show producers, confirmed that the upcoming season is the continuation of Season 1.

A second season to the surprise streaming sensation Stranger Things has been announced, with nine episodes due to arrive in 2017. That’s something we batted around from the very beginning. According to the duo, nearly the entire cast from the first season will return to Hawkins, Indiana, which includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and more.

The show played on nostalgia for the films of the 80s watched by the Duffer brothers, who were born in 1984. But we think it might be safe to say we haven’t seen the last of the telekinetic kid.

“We will venture a little bit outside of Hawkins”, Matt Duffer said. No spoilers, but Stranger Things season 1 kind of ended on a major cliffhanger, which needs to be resolved.

These titles leave us wondering what odd occurrences will happen next, although we can probably expect to see how Will is coping now that he has returned from the Upside Down.

Stranger Things 2 will be released on Netflix in 2017. “And with so many really falling in love with season one, and people who haven’t really seen episodes of season one just yet, let’s focus on season one right now”, he said.
