Streb fires 63 to share PGA lead as Day charges
The two Americans were the last of 43 groups scheduled to begin Saturday’s third round, but their 2:55 p.m. tee time was wiped out once play was suspended at 2:14 p.m. Thirty seven players have completed their third rounds, with 49 players left with unsigned scorecards.

The Associated Press reported that the PGA hopes to play two rounds on Sunday, provided the course could be ready by 7 a.m. If not, the tournament could conclude during the week.
Among those who will have to play only one round each are Kevin Kisner and Padraig Harrington, who each finished Saturday with a 5-under-par 65 and moved to 5-under and 4-under for the tournament, respectively.
Stenson was fifth on 134 with Germany’s Kaymer, the 2010 PGA Championship and 2014 US Open victor, another stroke back with Americans Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed and Kisner.
Walker followed an opening 65 that had him in the lead alone after the first round with a 66 to be at 9 under with Streb.
If you’re looking for your usual Sunday morning Law & Order marathon on TNT, I’ve got bad news.
“I actually didn’t play that well to be honest and putted unbelievably well, which was so much fun”. Mickelson and Henrik Stenson shots 63s this month in the British Open.
The course looks like it is unplayable, Streb said during Saturdays delay. The final round was set to begin at 8:40 a.m. with leaders teeing off at 3:25 p.m. It’s going to be a fascinating day of golf. Here are five things we learned at the PGA Championship Saturday.
A waterlogged Baltusrol will likely not play easy, particularly if the forecast of more rain comes to fruition. Despite three birdies in his first five holes, Watson scrambled through an equally disastrous stretch of three bogeys in four holes on the back. Molinari had two bogeys and a double-bogey before he started his birdie binge on No. 13.
There hasn’t been a Monday finish at the PGA Championship in 11 years, not since Mickelson won claimed his second major here at Baltusrol in 2005. It’s par 70. The greens are pristine, warm and attractive, and they are soft.
Mickelson lamented his own play, saying he was trying too hard to score low and as a result his swing wasn’t relaxed enough.

They, and eight others, including defending champion Jason Day, will play 36 holes Sunday as long as there are no more rain delays on a Baltusrol Golf Club that was already saturated. I was excited where my game was at, and I’d been shooting some really low scores this last week or two, not just at the British [Open] but from there to here. “I think somebody is going to break that 63 record in these next two days”.
