Street Fighter 5 Adds Karin to Fighter Roster
The character reveals for Street Fighter V are coming thick and fast now.

Karin Kazuki is officially back for the fight. “Two years ago, we held a worldwide character popularity poll to find out who the fans liked the most, and Karin came in seventh worldwide”, explained community manager Peter Rosas. Her regal and pampered upbringing is what led to her high-maintenance attitude and razer-sharp wit. In a new trailer that shows her in action, she tells another fighter, “I’ll show you the divide in our class”.
Capcom has done a good job preserving her predominately red and white out fit, complete with a sailor fuku and blue bolo tie. Capcom further describes Karin as a well-rounded character suited to a range of opponents. A dash move helps her get in close, and her modular V-trigger can be adapted to outwit opponents.
For those just tuning in, Karin was basically Ken to Sakura’s Ryu. Fans and players will be able to visit CFN at any time to view player profiles, match statistics, replay videos, as well as register friends and send battle invitations.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about Karin’s reveal, though, is that it might hint towards another character that will be joining the roster soon.
She’s always been represented as a foil and rival for Sakura, who so far hasn’t been confirmed for Street Fighter V – although this probably increases the chances she will be in it. Let us know in the comments.
