Street Fighter 5’s rage quitting penalties get stricter tomorrow
Street Fighter V is available for purchase right now on the PC and PlayStation 4 platforms. This usually happens when a player doesn’t like the direction that the game is taking, maybe because the groups are moving too slowly, or maybe because they keep losing, or whatever the reason, rage quitting is usually a result of that. Another, more “robust system”, is still in the works.

This is only another step to help rid the game of players who quit matches early, according to Capcom.
Tomorrow, 16th August, Capcom will update the game to add a rage quitting penalty that will hopefully go some way to deterring players from pulling the plug. Players who are penalized will lose League Points and be locked out of online matching for a set time. “The update will be implemented after the maintenance on 8/16”.
“Since the initial Rage Quitting system rollout, we have seen a rapid decrease in rage quitting players, and we believe that this new update will reduce that number even further”, Capcom adds.
We have another big update containing new features in the pipeline for next month, so we wanted to give you a sneak preview of all the cool things to come in September!
Capcom also revealed new gameplay modes and features that players can expect to see in September’s update, including a Vs. CPU mode and weekend events that will double player rewards for winning ranked matches. Next month will be the start of double Fight Money events for ranked matched. Please stay tuned for more details!
Colour bundles will be available to buy with Fight Money or real money for all 22 characters’ default and story costumes. Season pass holders get colors 3-10 for the DLC characters’ Default and Battle costumes for free, while purchased premium costumes will now include colors 3-10.

And more to be announced! I’ve reported on why there are all sorts of problems with the way you get colours in Street Fighter 5.
