Street Fighter V Rage Quitters Will Lose League Points
This means that players won’t have to send Capcom videos/proof of rage quitters as Capcom are now capable of identifying such users on their own and will deal with them accordingly. “Though we were pretty confident that players in our system who had high disconnect rates were indeed those who were attempting to avoid a loss at all costs, we didn’t want to start dishing out any punishments without clear proof”.

Last month we’ve talked about how great the new Street Fighter games is and how Capcom was thinking about introducing a new punishment system for those who have the gall to quit before the final blow.
The main motivation behind quitting a match early is for players to maintain their win streaks and League Points.
In the latest post on Capcom’s official Unity site, the publisher addresses the pesky problem of SF5’s already infamous rage-quitting community: “Ever since last week, we’ve received a ton of videos both here on Unity and our social channels which we’ve been able to cross reference with our data and put together a clear picture as to which players are abusing the system”.
So, recently, the Capcom team announced that all players who have a high disconnection rate (higher than 80-90 percent) will first receive a warning. Those accounts will be monitored, with “further action” taken if needed.
Hopefully this will keep the situation in check until Capcom can role out something more automated.
“While we don’t have an exact ETA on a permanent solution, we will let everyone know as soon as it is in place”.
Another bit of info is that Capcom has been tweeting a piece of character art for Alex, who is coming to Street Fighter in the March update.
The Japanese developer and publisher conveyed the information on its website where it also expressed that it will impose punishments for gamers with high disconnect rates (rage quitters).
Capcom also clarified what a “rage quitter” is.

Only the worst offenders in the system are being targeted now.
