Street Fighter V: Zangief (Reveal Trailer)

Gamers waiting for the upcoming Capcom title “Street Fighter V” were happy to learn that the series classic fighter Zangief has officially been added to the roster. Zangief has been officially revealed for the game at IgroMir Expo 2015 in, you guessed it, Russia. Street Fighter V, powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4, will release in Spring 2016 for PC and PlayStation 4 with cross-platform play enabled; so far, previously confirmed characters include Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, Vega, M. Bison, Birdie, Charlie Nash, Necalli, R. Mika, Rashid and Karin. Go and do your country proud. We could see the next character at New York Comic Con next week, as Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono is scheduled to speak at a panel.

Zangief’s V-Skill, which is activated by hitting the two medium attack buttons, allows him to ignore an attack and press against the other player.

The legendary fighting franchise returns with Street Fighter V! Holding down the medium punch and kick buttons and pressing forward will move Zangief toward the opponent.

Zangief’s V-Trigger is something completely new for the character.

Zangief is a rather large, muscle-bound wrestler who is strong enough to lift any opponent.

V-Trigger: Cyclone Lariat – Zangief lives up to his name “the red cyclone” as he spins with high speed and velocity, pulling the opponent in close.

With the announcement of Zangief, there are just three more characters to reveal.

What do you think about Zangief’s return? He even appears to bring in a few aspects of his Ultra Street Fighter IV character into the arena, as he can be seen absorbing hits Red Focus-style before delivering a world of hurt with unstoppable tornado lariats and a devastating back suplex.
