Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special 2015: Star-studded line-up announced

Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas Special line-up has been revealed and it’s jam-packed with former ballroom faves. Up to date: 03:37 EST, 19 November 2015 It is one of many must-see festive tv specials yearly.

All six couples will perform routines which are themed around family favourites including Alice in Wonderland, Jack Frost and Scrooge, in a bid to be crowned Christmas champions 2015 and lift the famous Silver Star trophy.

This year the ladies tripping the light fantastic, just in time for Christmas, are: Winner of series 12 Abbey Clancy, Series 12 contender Alison Hammond, Series 9 winner Harry Judd, winner of The People’s Strictly special Cassidy Little, winner of Series 6 Tom Chambers and runner up of the same year, Lisa Snowdon.

Professional dancers Pasha Kovalev, Brendan Cole and Robin Windsor will be partnered with the female celebs, while Natalie Lowe, Oti Mabuse and Joanne Clifton will partner the gents.

Legendary singer Dame Shirley Bassey will be performing, with Sir Bruce Forsyth returning to present with Tess Daly.

TV presenter Alison Hammond and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon, who finished in third place, make up the final two.

The judges will return with a little festive makeover: Darcey Bussell Sprouts and her three wise men: Len Glitter Goodman, Bruno Tinsel Tonioli and Craig Revel Humbug.

Now the Canadian will be reunited with dance partner Natalie Lowe for the Christmas special, which will be aired on BBC One on Christmas Day. The six contestants might be hoping to follow within the footsteps of the likes of Olympic gymnast Louis Smith, comedian Rufus Hound & JLS show star J.B. Gill, who’ve all won the Christmas special up to now.
