Strong natural disaster hits Greek island of Lefkada
Update: One woman is reported to have died after an quake registering 6.7 magnitude struck off the Greek island of Lefkada.

The temblor was felt across western Greece, with people on Lefkada and nearby Ionian Sea island of Kefalonia rushing out into the streets.
Fairview police say there are no reports of injury or damage.
According to USGS natural disaster Hazards Program the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.5 on the richter scale and occurred at 9:10 a.m. (12.40pm IST) 17 November off Greece’s western mainland, a few 300 kilometers west of Athens.
The quake also damaged the main road in the south-western part of the island.

A second reading gave a magnitude of 6.8 and a depth of just five kilometres.
