Strong reactions to Sarah Silverman calling stalwart Bernie supporters “ridiculous”

“This is not going to be an easy election, but it’s an election we will win with dignity”, said Brazile, a vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. We would have had a nominee who would have beat him, who would have just destroyed Donald Trump.

At the convention itself, the program was all Hillary, interspersed with anti-Trump. He says that “they really established ISIS”.

But when Trump mentioned Clinton’s name on Tuesday, it was met with shouts of “Lock her up!” She had spent a limited source of income on-you guessed it-Trump University.

Mr. Sanders did his part for Mrs. Clinton by delivering a full-throated endorsement in a speech Monday evening, despite consternation from some of his supporters. The night’s main speaker, Bernie Sanders, getting an emotional prolonged ovation. There is no real evidence to back this suspicion up, but it speaks to a wide distrust of Clinton’s sincerity and her motives. McCaskill says this week’s convention will focus on Clinton’s long career and help people see “beyond the 30-second soundbites that are put out by the Republican attack machine”. “This right now, is the greatest country on earth”, she said. It will include a prime-time speech by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and the formalities of nominating Clinton to the White House.

During a morning event held by Bloomberg Politics, Sanders said he hoped his supporters would “accept the reality” that Clinton will be the Democratic nominee. One question of the day was whether Sanders would press for a count by all the states, as his delegates want, or interrupt the process to ask that her nomination be approved by acclamation.

Donald Trump is complaining about hot air at a Virginia hotel, and the hotel is pushing back. “I think it’s a combination of “you know what, we want to be heard, we want some respect, show that we matter, ‘ and then it’s also the ‘I can never be on board with her” mentality”. Tim Kaine as her running mate, are not ready to give up on the progressive senator’s political movement.

Sanders delegate Gian Carlo Espinosa, 29, of Key West, Florida, said he would not abandon protests, as Sanders urged.

Other speakers will include September 11 survivors that Clinton assisted as a NY senator, as well as Arkansans the campaign says Clinton aided as first lady of the state when her husband was governor.
