Struggling Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger backed by Germany boss
Graeme Souness says Bastian Schweinsteiger is surviving at Manchester United on his reputation and the Bayern Munich legend is no better than Michael Carrick.

The senior players faced criticism for their displays against Wolfsburg, but Loew has stood up for Schweinsteiger, backing Die Mannschaft’s skipper to show his worth at United.
“Every word I say is wrong”.
Germany boss Joachim Low has sprung to Bastian Schweinsteiger’s defence after the midfielder was criticised by Louis van Gaal and insisted his job as the national team captain is safe.
Schweinsteiger will not have been too surprised no doubt knowing Van Gaal’s background for blunt assessments that just nine days after being hailed as United’s big summer marquee signing he was the target for the Dutchman’s honesty. “But we are all human beings”.
That being said, there was so much against Wolfsburg which was avoidable and for a player of Schweinsteiger’s experience, he shouldn’t have made a lot of those mistakes and will be frustrated with how he played back in his home country Germany. “I’m also disappointed that we are out of the Champions League”.
Before the start of the season, Schweinsteiger left Bayern after 14 years to join United, where his ex-Munich coach Van Gaal is the manager and he wanted Germany’s captain in the Red Devils’ famous shirt.
