A community forum for parents and residents has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon at the Alpine Civic Center. Hucke didn’t specify which patient was released, but officials said the injured officer was transferred to a hospital in Odessa. Investigators don’t believe the threats are related to the shooting at Alpine High School.
She was later found lying inside the building alongside her semi-automatic gun and a large supply of ammunition, sheriff Ronnie Dodson told NBC KWES news channel. The school was put on lockdown, Butler told NBC News. “I wish to extend prayers and sympathy to any victims’ families and their loved ones who have been affected by this senseless act of violence”.

Authorities also were trying to find a person who telephoned bomb threats after the shooting, Dodson said.
A female student is dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting a classmate at Alpine High School on Thursday.
‘There was blood on the floor in the cafeteria that I saw when we went past it on our way out of the school, ‘ the student said. The student was able to run out of the school, and bystanders took her to the hospital for treatment.
Later, a law enforcement officer banged on the classroom door and escorted the children out of the building.
He says a law enforcement officer also suffered injuries that weren’t life threatening, but no details have been released.
Police dispatcher Scarlet Eldred had no immediate information on whether anyone was hurt in an unspecified incident at the high school shortly before 9 a.m. Eldred says police were seeking an “active shooter”.
Eldred didn’t immediately provide additional information, other than the person being sought was a male.
After an emergency board of trustees meeting Thursday afternoon, officials at the Alpine Independent School District issued a statement closing its three schools Friday. Police say that when they arrived at the school, they heard gunshots and found the female shooter dead in the bathroom.
A student at the school was shot but is still alive, and an officer was reportedly shot as well in what appears to be an accidental shooting, Dodson said.
