The home minister was briefed about the internal security situation in the country and steps taken to reduce tension in NIT Srinagar, official sources said.
The students were said to be participating in protests against celebrations by Kashmiri students following India’s defeat in the T20 semi-finals on March 30.”HRD officials are in the campus and they have spoke to over 500 students”, she said.
