Students planned to kill girl, hide her body
Pettitt said 19-year-old Keepers was involved right from the beginning with 18-year-old David Eisenhauer and participated in a number of steps up to and after Lovell’s death. “Someone she had never even spoken to”.

Virginia Tech students David Eisenhauer and Natalie Keepers also allegedly planned how to dispose and hide the body of seventh-grader Nicole Lovell over that late January meal at the Cook Out in Blacksburg, Virginia. Investigators believe Eisenhauer was scared that Lovell had begun to talk about their relationship – she’d shown his photo to a friend, bragging about the older guy she was meeting up with, according to WTKR – and made a decision to take drastic action. Her mother, Tammy Weeks, went to Nicole’s bedroom door and found it barricaded, the prosecutor said.
She says Eisenhauer first denied involvement in killing Nicole but admitted to driving to her home.
Nicole Madison Lovell, 13, disappeared from her family’s apartment on Wednesday, Jan. 27, and her remains were found Saturday, Jan. 30, just over the state line in Surry County, N.C.
Keepers described some of her problems in her own words.
There, she agreed to go in for questioning and voluntarily consented to a search of her cellphone where it was discovered she sent a message to Eisenhauer stating, “POLICE”. The two had previously bought a shovel and picked out a secluded location on Craig Creek Road to dump the body. Keepers helped Eisenhauer load Nicole’s body into the trunk of his Lexus and the two went to a local store to buy cleaning supplies, authorities said. There was an added urgency to her case as the young teen suffered from a liver condition that required daily medication, which she did not have with her. It is reported by CNN that she left with only a Minions blanket and some water. He was going to slit her throat.
Defense lawyers argued that Keepers had a troubled past of her own and would become mentally unstable if kept in isolation for her own protection from other inmates.
CNN reports that the judge didn’t find Keeper’s arguments for bail compelling, and said that she no longer has any ties to the community.
Her former math teacher told the Associated Press he didn’t recognize Keepers when he saw her mug shot because she always seemed “bubbly and happy and excited about her future” while attending Hammond High Schoolin Columbia. He said he had heard Eisenhauer took his daughter to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Lovell’s own father, David Lovell eyed Keepers throughout the trial. Keepers’ bond request was denied Thursday. “My sons love Natalie our daughters love Natalie”.
“It still is extremely confusing to me”. This isn’t a wag a finger in your face moment, but a very real one that’s sadly illustrated by Nicole’s story. It was all about “deadlines or school work”. Her father choked up in court Thursday when he said she had planned to follow his footsteps into aerospace engineering. Her lawyers said she liked Swedish Fish and was a member of the Disney Princess Club. She said they were close in middle school, and that Keepers had slept over at her house. “He did so at great speed”, Tim Keepers said.
Sara Keepers, an X-ray technician, said the whole situation is “devastating”.
Mary Pettitt, a commonwealth prosecutor, detailed everything Natalie Keepers told the FBI investigators during the interrogations. Keepers is charged with improper disposal of a body and accessory before and after the fact in the commission of a felony. Eisenhauer has been charged with first-degree murder and abduction.
In a statement to WSLS 10, Kik stated, “Kik cooperated with the FBI for their investigation. We are in frequent dialogue with law enforcement authorities to further ensure that our channels of cooperation are as open as they can be while respecting user privacy”.
Pettitt did not mention a motive in the killing.

“The one tie she has, has been severed”, the judge said.
