Students, teachers search for answers after ITT Tech shut down
ITT Educational Services says it was forced to take the action after the U.S. Department of Education issued sanctions August 25, including a ban on enrolling new students who rely on federal financial aid. It was rarely used until the 2014 collapse of for-profit chain Corinthian Colleges, which forced the Education Department address re-evaluate the standard used for reviewing appeals for debt relief.

This closure reportedly affects over 35,000 current students.
