Sturridge can prove to be the main man for Liverpool, once again
We’ve seen here the brand of football we can create when we have that talent available.

According to reports now, Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has now said that he feels that Liverpool fans are really lucky that they have Brendan Rodgers, suggesting that he could have been off to manage Real Madrid.
If Liverpool genuinely want Klopp, then they should appoint him at the end of the season.
Sacking Rodgers and appointing the German is not going to make Liverpool a top-four team straightaway.
“Rodgers’s assertion that Sturridge could have been the catalyst for a better season had injuries spared him is not without merit and he expects the 25-year-old to lend his claim further credibility in the coming weeks”, says the Times.
There are people in and around Liverpool who could neutralise a lot of these issues for Rodgers, but they’re staying silent. Despite a low-key first-half, he burst into life after the break and fired two sublime goals within ten minutes to help Rodgers’ side to a crucial three points.
Liverpool midfielder James Milner believes that the Reds are a massive club and the side’s players have a responsibility to contribute to their success. It’s about time £29m signing Roberto Firmino opened his account for his new club, and what better place to do it than at your local rivals stadium. Rodgers went from Suarez and Sturridge to Balotelli and Lambert, so it’s hardly surprising they weren’t as successful on the pitch last season. And replacing those players gets harder and harder. All of a sudden, he doesn’t turn into a bad manager, it’s fine margins.
FC Sion chairman Christian Constantin has issued a withering attack on the club’s players and manager Didier Tholot ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

The 23-year-old scored his first competitive goal for the Reds in the 1-1 draw with Norwich City eight days ago and followed that with another against Carlisle United last midweek, also netting the decisive penalty in the subsequent shoot-out.
