Sturridge ‘fit’ for City clash as Liverpool target repeat performance that
The Daily Mirror state that England global Daniel Sturridge has returned to full training, though Jurgen Klopp is yet to make a decision as to whether to use the player against his former side Manchester City on Saturday.

However, Sturridge returned to Liverpool training this week and could be included in the squad to face City at The Etihad on Saturday evening. I’ve been back training now for the past couple of days and I was training under him when he first arrived.
Sturridge, though, has not played a competitive fixture since October 4, and will be monitored by the club’s medical team as he continues to build up match fitness ahead of the City clash before a call is made on whether he will get to play a part against the club that handed him his Premier League debut.
If the English striker was capable of remaining fit for a much longer time, probably Brendan Rodgers would still be the coach of Liverpool but Sturridge’s persistent injury worries dried up the goals and forced Liverpool to seek changes.
Daniel Sturridge’s optimism appears to be boundless, as he nears his latest comeback.
“It’s an exciting time to be at the club and I’m enjoying working with him and the style of football”.
Sturridge has netted twice in three Premier League starts this season.
Sturridge had a horrendous time with injuries last season; missing five months of the campaign with two thigh problems and a calf injury before returning to action in January, and then seeing his season ended in April after suffering a torn hip muscle. “There are teams up there this season you wouldn’t have expected”, he added.
“It’s up for grabs this season, there isn’t a real favourite”.
