A new paid subscription service for YouTube called YouTube Red is set to launch this month in the United States. But YouTube Red wasn’t the only announcement YouTube had today, announcing YouTube Music would be getting a standalone app soon.

The new service that has been named as “YouTube Red” will be available in the USA for free with a one month trial on October 28, Youtube said in a statement. Eventually, YouTube plans to launch exclusive content on YouTube Red that you can’t view on the traditional YouTube site.

Several original series are also coming for Red subscribers, including Scared PewDiePie and I Am Tobuscus. The membership will cost $9.99 a month and it’ll extend across all devices logged into that paying account.

The service will also let you save videos to play offline on any of your devices.

Furthermore, YouTube Red works with Google Play Music meaning subscribers to one of these services will automatically get access to the other. The company claims that “choosing any song or artist on YouTube music will start a personalized journey through our incredibly diverse music catalog”.

The YouTube Red subscription service will be made available to viewers in the USA starting on October 28. Then we’ve got a few good news.

Beginning next year the package also will include original programming from a few of YouTube’s more popular content providers including Maker Studios, Skybound Entertainment, Fine Brothers Entertainment, and Alpine Labs.
