Subway Workers Fired For Vulgar Photos
In a shocking incident, two Subway employees have been fired by the company for posting their inappropriate photos on internet. The offending employees used a username of weedpriest on Instagram to upload photos that are vulgar and explicit. Though they deleted the photos later on, the photos had become viral by then and seen by millions of people around the world. Subway authorities, in a bid to label the incident as an isolated one, have not only fired the two boys, they have also issued a statement saying that such behavior would not be tolerated by the company in future also.

What was supposed to be a prank brought bad taste in the mouth of millions
Ian Jett and Cameron Boggs worked at an outlet of the company in Columbus, Ohio. In an image posted on Instagram last week, a man holding his penis over a bread loaf has been pictured with the caption reading ‘My name is @ianjett and I will be your sandwich artist today’. In fact, there are many other photos with one showing a man holding a bottle that looks like containing frozen urine. Then there is a photo with bread loaf turned into a man’s penis with balls. Both Jett and Boggs in their defense have said that they were not at their workplace when these photos were captured. They say that they would never even think of doing something like this at Subway.
However, the authorities at Subway were not satisfied with the explanations given by these two boys in their defense as they could not explain how the photos show a baking tray from Subway and the kitchen table that is made of stainless steel. Jett says it was only a joke and not done to harm the image of the company in their wildest imagination.
This is certainly not the first time that employees working at food joints have posted vulgar photos or posted inappropriate comments on internet. However, it is certainly a first incident of this kind for Subway. Companies like Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King etc have had similar experiences where employees did enough to warrant firing. It is a disturbing trend that has been going on for several years now. It just shows the idea of fun perverts can have even if it makes people bad about eating food in restaurants.

The authorities at Subway did not take long to spring into action and fired the two erring employees as soon as they came to know about the photos. They even issued a statement that this was a shocking but isolated incident that did not represent the works of Subway Sandwich Artists at all. Despite this quick termination, the two employees have caused damage to the image of the company that takes pride in the quality and cleanliness of its food. As if the first photo with a man placing his penis over foot long bread loaf was not enough, the second photo showed the frozen urine of another employee in a bottle.
