‘Successful’ Fundraising, Rakes in $51 Million in June
Republican Donald Trump raked in $51 million in June donations to fuel his presidential ambitions, his campaign reported Wednesday.

According to the Trump campaign, the donation of United States dollars 26 million was made possible with over 400,000 supporters. The campaign said some 400,000 supporters donated, with 94 percent sending under $200.
Clinton raised nearly $70 million in June for her campaign and Democratic partners, her campaign announced last week, an amount that included about $40 million that went directly into her campaign coffers.
The first email appeal – which included a $2 million match from Trump – exceeded the goal, collecting more than $3 million in contributions in one day, the campaign said. The Trump campaign and the RNC announced this month that they are adding about 85 fundraising veterans to their operation.
The billionaire businessman gave the campaign $3.8 million, according to the campaign, bringing the entire total to $55 million. Additionally, Trump and the RNC raised $25 million during 22 events in June and the final week of May, the release said. That paltry total – and the fact that Trump began June with just $1.3 million in the bank – astonished party leaders and fundraisers.
In all, the former secretary of State has raised about $288 million during the 2016 election cycle for her campaign and another $90 million for the Democratic National Committee and state party committees.
Trump’s implementation of online fundraising came after a shake-up in the campaign late last month. And while Trump is sure to be greeted enthusiastically by a handful of lawmakers, many more have expressed skepticism, criticism or outright opposition to a presidential candidate who has flouted conservative principles and divided the Republican Party.
At a rally in New Hampshire on Thursday, however, Trump shut down a questioner who told the candidate that he’s “opposed to wasting our military in the Middle East on behalf of Zionist Israel”.
Trump, the billionaire from NY, had self-funded his campaign during the primary elections. “Clinton, money, the most campaign corrupt person”, said Duke on his radio show.

It’s not clear whether Trump can match Clinton’s fundraising – or whether he needs to – given his ability to command attention and votes with little traditional television advertising. His campaign did not say how much it had on hand going into July.
