The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based group that monitors the war, said at least 11 people were killed and another 29 wounded.

Qamishli is presently under joint control of Kurdish authorities and President Bashar al Assad’s forces that are battling against the “Islamic State” (IS) militant group. “There are at least 14 civilians that have been wounded”, Abdel Rahman added.
Qamishli, which lies on Syria’s border with Turkey and is mainly controlled by Kurdish forces, has seen a number of bomb attacks, which have been blamed on the Islamic State extremist militia.
Syria’s state news agency SANA reported a toll of 15 people, but did not specify whether the dead included civilians.
According to a local journalist, the blast could be heard throughout the city.
“I wasn’t close, but I could hear it from where I was”, Shekhmos told AFP by telephone shortly after visiting the blast site.
The Douma attack was one of the deadliest since Syria’s crisis began in March 2011.
Yesterday, aerial bombardment by the government of a rebel stronghold east of Damascus left at least 10 people dead, the Observatory said.

The target of the attack was the headquarters of the Asayish security agency set up by an autonomous Kurdish administration in northern Syria.
