The U.S. men’s basketball team is bringing home gold from Rio after they pounded Serbia 96-66 in Sunday’s gold medal game.
“A number of people on Twitter pointed out the ‘conga line” of competitors eager for a snap with their hero.
Such was the demand, it reported, the closing ceremony itself was delayed.
Specifically, it seemed like every athlete wanted to stop and take selfies with Biles, who was tasked with carrying the USA flag during the ceremony.
In fact, numerous gymnastic phenom’s fans were quick to note that the closing ceremonies were inadvertently delayed because of the sheer number of people stopping Biles and asking to take a photo with her.
The athlete, who stands at 4ft 8in (1.42m), was widely reported to be a little nervous about carrying a flag that was about twice her size.
