Summer Steam Sale Dates Confirmed by Paypal
According to a leak shared by Reddit user MrFreemanBBQ on the Steam subsection of the community website, this year’s Steam Summer Sale will reportedly begin next week on June 23 and will run for about a week and a half all the way to July 4, Independence Day.

A variety of great deals were made available via the Steam summer sale previous year, including 75% off Payday 2 and 50% off Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
These stats came from Galyonkin’s Steam Spy analytics platform, however, Galyonkin did mentioned that the figures are only for those games who sold more than 5000 units.
This year is a little different, however: thanks to a tweet sent out by the PayPal UK Twitter account, gamers know now that Valve‘s annual Summer Sale is right around the corner.
Update: A few weeks back we first heard that the Steam Summer sale was due to kick off later this month.
Of course, gamers can expect the usual plethora of discounted games, but Valve actually has a bigger stake in this year’s sale than most others.
The email reads: “Brace yourself, We can exclusively reveal that the Steam summer sale will go live on 23rd June”.

No word on what sort of exceptional discounts we’ll be seeing, but if you game on PC you should be excited. You can also check back in during the sale to see what GameSpot thinks are some of the better discounts on offer.
