Summer Weather Heading Our Way This Week
There could be sufficient moisture and instability for a few isolated afternoon showers Thursday and Friday, but the chance of any one spot seeing rain is very low. We will reach the 70s and 80s with gusty afternoon winds.

Thursday…Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 80s. Wednesday will feature mostly sunny skies and highs in the low and middle 80s. It will be even warmer by Sunday and Monday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. It will be partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm each day. The spotty showers are looking to move in past midnight tonight.

Overnight lows will be in the 60s and a quick warm up will get underway after sunrise Wednesday. We’re not necessarily expecting a washout on Monday and Tuesday but showers and thunderstorms are possible at times throughout both days. Be sure to check back all week, as we track the continued threat for severe weather. Low humidity makes the heat tolerable and dries out the ground a bit. The combination of clouds and showers should keep high temperatures closer to 70 degrees. At this point, rain will be hit or miss.
