SummerSlam And NXT TakeOver Updates, Full Cards

I’m back this week though! They show footage of the team arguing earlier today. Murphy taunting Ibushi which leads to Kota unleashing some vicious strikes. Nakamura is his charismatic self, angering Blake. Wesley rolls to avoid offense and blows a kiss. Nakamua catches both, says they small amusing and stomps on them. Standing moonsault and dropping the fist to the face of Nails. He does it twice for the fan’s sake.

Blake with elbow drops and then he goes to the ropes for a springboard knee drop and he gets a near fall. From a bad cigarette, we go to Good Vibrations, not once, but twice. Nakamura with a reverse exploder followed by Kinshasa for the three count.

Nakamura always manages to make his squash matches fun.

NXT general manager William Regal announced the match after Nakamura defeated Wesley Blake in a surprisingly entertaining contest. It looks good because her legs are really long. Some big kicks from Billie before she works a neck wrench. Santana with a forearm but Billie with an Irish whip. Back elbow gets another nearfall for Blake. Santana with forearms and she backs Billie into the corner.

I love me some Billie Kay.

This match will help start to lay the groundwork for the future of NXT Women’s Division.

Recap of Bayley’s debut at WWE Battleground.

William Regal steps out and says he’s heard enough. She says that he’s been there for all of her highs and lows and he knows that she’s ready.

The semi main event for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn is close to being established as well, as Bayley put in a request to Regal to face Asuka for the NXT Women’s championship at the same event she won the title previous year.

A odd video package aired.

I’m not sure which jobber is which. Ryzin and Nails sent into each other in the corner and Miller in like a house of fire off the hot tag. Backbreaker and Ryzin works a chinlock. Miller gets the tag and comes in hot. Thunder Valley hits for the win. Aries beat him down for a long time.

Post-match, No Way Jose with the microphone and he says all he tried to do for Austin Aries was be encouraging. He returns next week! He also escapes a headlock but eats a kick and forearm.

It did the job of trying to showcase that Jose can get serious. You took advantage. You mistook him for what he is not. No Way Jose says Aries turned into the biggest coward in NXT when he saw that Jose can turn a fiesta into a fight. He’s gonna whoop Aries’ ass. Murphy uses the hair to keep Ibushi in the chin lock. He gets shoulder blocked down twice.

Murphy out with the familiar dubstep and ridiculous camera shakes. Crowd pops huge for Ibushi as a nice surprise for the NXT crowd. Ibushi goes to the apron and Murphy trips Ibushi and gets a near fall back in the ring. Ibushi finally gets out of the hold and he runs into boots from Murphy and Murphy with a running double knee drop for a near fall. Buddy Murphy says he will face Kota Ibushi. Head kick connects and Ibushi with a bridging German Suplex for a nearfall. Misses a moonsault but lands on his feet. Murphy hits a buckle flatliner for 2, but eats a sitout last ride for the win. Murphy looks for a superplex and Ibushi with a sunset flip. Ibushi, as always, was awesome. Headlining the show will be Samoa Joe defending the NXT Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Shinsuke Nakamura comes out and stares Samoa Joe down from the top of the ramp as he dances. Unfortunately, due to some oversight by not consulting with him first, that match will not be happening.

Samoa Joe is asked about facing Shinsuke Nakamura at Takeover. This brings out Regal himself.

Joe reminds Regal that he made Joe jump through every hoop to get an opportunity to win the championship. He finds it disrespectful and wants them to find a deserving contender in the back. He tells Regal this is the biggest mistake you have made. Joe decimated Finn Balor and will do the same to Nakamura. He acts like he’s looking through a telescope at Joe and shows no fear. Nakamura’s music hits and he comes out onto the stage dancing.
