Since it was all downhill for 21-year-old Belgium global from the time Moyes left the club, Januzaj is rumored to be also keen on reuniting with his former boss with the Black Cats next season.
Moving to Sunderland to rejoin David Moyes, he and fellow youngster Donald Love have left in a deal worth around £6m – hardly out of Albion’s reach.
Sunderland begin their Premier League campaign with a trip to Manchester City on Saturday.
Adnan Januzaj, who was the next big thing once upon a time, has joined Sunderland on loan for 2016-17.
“We can see him every week in this country, we can compare performances so he’s in the right place with a manager who likes him a lot. I believe in him”.
Meanwhile, Moyes confirmed that midfielder Sebastian Larsson could be out for up to six months after undergoing surgery to fix knee ligament damage.
“I thought he was one of the finest young talents I have ever seen, and he was up there with Wayne Rooney at the age of 18”.
A year after joining from Bayern Munich to much fanfare, the 32-year-old midfielder looks set to be on the move once again. Januzaj was a revelation under David Moyes during the 2013/14 season, however was never fancied by Louis van Gaal and spent time on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season – with minimal impact.
