Sunny, cool weather Thursday

This will bring us the chance for a few hit or miss showers but we are certainly not looking at any substantial periods of rain nor any washouts.

Tonight, look for continued smoky conditions and a low of 52. The high will be about 90 with a 30 percent chance of showers during the day and a 40 percent chance that night.

With a round of thunderstorms moving into Michigan, the Jackson area could see some severe weather Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Storms are likely to develop along this boundary and may become severe with some threat of damaging wind gusts with the stronger cells. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Will we get another Tuesday? Low near: 74. High near: 89.

Just a sneak peek of the upcoming weekend does show another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms arriving in the later hours on Saturday before ending Sunday morning. Areas of smoke. Sunny, with a high near 89. Highs in the mid 80’s. The low humidity allows overnight lows to slip all the way down to the upper 50s to lower 60s in the suburbs and mid-60s in the city.
