Sunny skies, above average temperatures for the midstate this weekend
The high temperature Friday will be around 49 degrees, with a gradual warming trend taking the high up to around 55 degrees on Sunday, according to the weather service forecast. Forecasters note that none of the storm systems look particularly potent.

On Friday, temperatures will reach only to the upper 40s, but the skies will be mostly clear, the weather service said.
Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers before 10am.
Saturday Sunny, with a high near 51. Southwest wind 3 to 6 miles per hour.
Tonight: Patchy fog after 10pm.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Skies will be partly cloudy with an overnight low temperature of 34 degrees. Light north northwest wind.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 57. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low around 33. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday’s high in Madison was 40 at 5:38 a.m., 4 degrees above the normal high and 22 degrees below the record high of 62 for December 1, set in 1970.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 32. Temperatures will be nice for this time of year – pushing 50 degrees.
